Type O Negative to Headline Peavey-Sponsored
Spring 2008 Jägermeister Music Tour
April 9, 2008, PEAVEY INT’L. HEADQUARTERS — Metal legends and longtime
Peavey endorsers Type O Negative will co-headline the spring 2008
Jägermeister Music Tour with Hatebreed beginning May 16. At each show, one
lucky fan will win a Peavey Rage® guitar amplifier customized by Peavey
with a special Jägermeister artwork design.
“Headlining this tour has been a long-time goal of ours,” said Type O
Negative frontman and bassist Peter Steele, who will crank his Peavey Tour™

accomplishment to have a co-headlining band like Hatebreed along for the
ride with us.”
Type O Negative is touring behind its latest release, Dead Again, its
seventh album of dark, brooding goth metal. Peavey endorsers Slipknot,
Chimaira, Arch Enemy and Stone Sour have appeared on past tours, and Peavey
has sponsored the semi-annual Jägermeister Music Tour since its spring 2003
outing.
Peavey is also a major sponsor of the traveling Jägermeister Mobile Stage,
a 207,000-watt, fully self-contained stage housed in a 44-foot trailer. The
stage, which features a Peavey Versarray™ line-array sound system, QW®
Series monitors and Peavey VSX® loudspeaker management systems, as well as
a full Peavey guitar and bass amplifier backline, will hit the road on the
Rockstar® Mayhem tour in summer 2008.

Are you part of this Avenged Sevenfold DVD recording during their Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour?
Avenged Sevenfold have been busy touring on the 4th Annual Rockstar Taste of Chaos since February, and next week they’ll be returning home for a tour stop in Huntington Beach, California.
The band has announced that it will record the entire show for a live DVD that Warner Bros. Records will release later this year. The DVD will be directed by Core Entertainment’s Rafa Alcantra, who also worked on the band’s 2007 road documentary All Excess. The DVD package will also include a CD of seven previously unreleased b-sides that were recorded during the making of the band’s current self-produced album, Avenged Sevenfold.
"We wanted to scheme up something big for our hometown crowd because we have the best fans in the world," says lead singer M. Shadows. "We’ll be bringing it harder than we have for any stop on this tour. We’re ready to blow the roof off!"

Why would Velvet Revolver work behind Scott Wieland’s back before UK tour?
t looks like Velvet Revolver was going behind Scott Weiland’s back in a bit of rock’n'roll infidelity long before it fired him.
Although tensions were publicly simmering for a while before the rest of Velvet Revolver had enough and unceremoniously gave its singer the boot last week, it wasn’t a rash decision. In fact, the act had already started auditioning new singers to replace Weiland before it embarked on its latest tour, guitarist Slash told Rolling Stone.
The Velvet Revolver guitarist didn’t name the mystery man who auditioned for Weiland’s spot weeks ago, but he said the act will probably test out a few more singers before making its final announcement.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 3 2008
Non-stop touring Canadian hardcore band Comeback Kid will soon be embarking on an eight-month tour that will take them to the USA, Japan, South East Asia, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, South America, Europe and the UK.
CBK stop first in Hawaii for two dates in April before joining Canada’s legendary political punk band Propagandhi in Japan for five dates starting April 16. CBK then fly to Southeast Asia to play in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. In May the band travels to Mexico for four shows and plans are just being finalized for a tour of Russia to follow in June. In June and July CBK also tour Portugal, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Austria, Italy, and the UK. After a short summer break, CBK have eight dates booked for South America.
Lead singer Andrew Neufeld describes his anticipation for the upcoming tours saying, “This year is shaping up to be pretty crazy. We really wanted to play some places that we haven’t been before and go back to some countries that we don’t get to often enough. We’re going to Japan with Propagandhi who is one of our favorite bands. We get to go to Central and South America, which we have been talking about forever, and go to South East Asia for the first time. All I can say is we’re really, really excited!”
CBK recently finished a five-week headlining tour of the US, and there are rumours of a Canadian tour this October.
The band continues to tour in support of Broadcasting…, (Smallman / Victory) released in 2007. Recorded with producer Bill Stevenson at the Blasting Room, the album exceeded all expectations for the follow-up to Comeback Kid’s critically acclaimed sophomore album Wake the Dead (Smallman / Victory).

PAST LIVE CBK REVIEWS
“There’s a simple reason that Comeback Kid are headlining this tour: They fucking kill. From sweaty start to bloody finish, they deliver every song with merciless intensity and unflagging energy… The crowd goes apeshit, even scaling the ornate support pillars and literally hanging from the rafters as bodies fly from the stage. Climaxing with a devastating Wake the Dead, it’s the perfect full-stop to an overpowering set and a night of visceral thrills.”

“The show was full speed from start to finish. Hot, fast and violent. They played to a packed house at the Kathedral with the whole crowd singing every word to every song. Amazing! …Make sure you see Comeback Kid live, and bring some defensive gear when you do.”

“Comeback Kid is notorious for their high-energy hardcore. Neufeld’s vocals filled the Palladium Ballroom, with a constant stream of noise and attitude. As a band capable of headlining their own tour, Comeback Kid works well to bridge the gap between hardcore for teenagers up through your twenty-somethings.”

Favorites like "Wake the Dead," "Die Tonight" and "Never Fade" seemed flawless, and highly energetic. The crowd’s participation was also in full throttle, with plenty of shout-alongs, stage-dives and pile-ons to provide for one great performance.

The tour, whose mission is to create a better world, one voice and one action at a time, continues to inspire and make change in a proactive manner.
The Impact of the 2008 Take Action! Tour:
- Over $75,000 raised for Do Something which helps young people make a positive difference in the world - based on 10% of ticket revenue and additional tour related fundraising

“Working with the Take Action Tour was awesome. Not only did we raise money to fund amazing young change-makers, but we also brought the message of Do Something to thousands of young people across the US,” says Do Something CMO, Aria Finger
Headlining band Every Time I Die, along with From First To Last, The Bled, August Burns Red, and The Human Abstract, united fans across the U.S. and Canada in support of Do Something, an organization that issues grant-money youths to make change around the causes they are passionate about.

Darn. How does touring Good Charlotte survive this buffalo attacking thing?
Man. This stupid bull named One Eye
Rex Features
Rock band Good Charlotte survived an attack from an angry buffalo in Cape Town, MTV reports.
The group were filming a documentary for the music channel in South Africa when the buffalo, named "One Eye", charged twice at their safari vehicle.
The ordeal was captured on camera and will air on MTV’s Diary of Good Charlotte next month.
After the safari jeep accelerated away, Benji Madden said: "That was pretty dope though, you gotta admit, that was pretty dope!"
His twin brother Joel added: "I want to get a copy of that for my home video!"

Hahahaha! Paris Hilton trips in Prague with touring Good Charlotte boyfriend
Sooooo funnnnyyyyy!!!
She tripped as she went through the door with her boyfriend, Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden.
Benji, who had no idea of what was going on, almost stepped over the socialite.
When he realized what had happened, Benji helped Paris up and asked the paparazzi to leave so he could take care of her.
As they left the store, Paris was overhead moaning to Benji: "Prague, never again!"
The following day, the 27-year-old "Simple Life" star was seen a large bruise on her chin as she left the Good Charlotte concert at the city’s Congress Center.
Yo Paris! I hope you read this! You are a twat! Your rich grandpa does not approve either!
